decluttering {not just your pantry}
Hi Reader, "I don't have the time" - a phrase you often use when it comes to taking care of yourself. To be honest, it's a huge reason why I say self-care You can try a bath. Go get a massage. Take a Friday afternoon off. Go for a walk. But squeezing those things in when you can, or even worse...when you're already burnt out...isn't really solving the problem. I noticed this pattern after working with clients for over 4 years on burnout recovery. Those things won't stick without some decluttering first. You have to create some space to address stress directly. You need to reduce your capacity. Take some time back. Reduce your mental load first. The problem? It's not as glamorous. And truthfully, a lot of people really don't know how or where to start. Back without Burnout is designed to help you through this process, SO you can start incorporating more self-care. Here's a sneak peek into the first phase of the program: Phase 1: Creating Space
This foundational work helps you free up space in your mind, in your home, and at work. THEN you get into a groove. You feel more empowered to make changes at work. You have the energy to be present again.
"I will share two here that will continue to make an impact:
- Decluttering. There was a lot in my physical space and headspace that needed to be removed. This was emotionally overwhelming, and something I continue to work on. I am iteratively addressing physical spaces but also my 'mental' spaces.
- Systems. So many things I want to do in life, big and small, but realized that I don't have a system to achieve them, but then I was spending time and energy being hard on myself (getting burned out!). Whether it is a system for improving how I execute a key part of my job role or how I get 10k steps a day, I am able to see measurable differences on both fronts!" -Christina H (shared with permission)
