Spent my entire career doing this wrong

If you're anything like me, Reader...

You're gonna want to save this one.

For years, I ignored the warning signs that I was heading into full-blown burnout.

My body? Not great.

I had a 6-month-long migraine, felt lethargic, tired, and not even a structured gym routine could fix it.

My Mind? Even worse.

Self-doubt and lack of motivation to do...pretty much anything plagued me daily.

My Work Ethic? Meh.

Typically a go-getter...I was calling in sick constantly, procrastinating, and avoiding even the smallest email.

I didn't KNOW it was burnout then

Lucky for me (and you) - I do now. And since the day I left the job that was supposed to be "the one", I've been committed to learning how to never be in a burnout cycle again.

To be honest, a lot of this research came from my frustrations as a therapist. I was surrounded by mental health professionals...I WAS one...and yet not a single person mentioned or considered that I may be experiencing burnout.

This was at SEVERAL different jobs...so it wasn't an isolated event. I thought it was me. That I was doing it wrong.

I know I'm not alone in this, Reader...maybe you can relate?

Now I know I WAS approaching work the wrong way, but there wasn't anything wrong with me.

I want to share more about this in the next few days, but for now I'll leave you with this...

It takes more than just a mindset shift to recover from burnout. Because there isn't anything wrong with you.

You weren't taught how to make work...work with you...until now.

Be well,
